When I had my 09 G37s. The economy was shytty and Infiniti's weren't selling well. I got $7,000 incentive and it was deducted from invoice pricing. I had a $46,500 car for around $37,500 give or take a few hundred bucks, before ttl. That was the last year they gave large cash incentives but you never know what the future holds incentive-wise??? It might end up cheaper than you think?

I saw the Q50 in person. Here are my opinions:
LOOKS: Pictures don't do it justice. I know many of you are picturing this car being comparable to a 3 series, but it's a new "lithe-hood" design. It's longer than an ATS, 3 series but s midge shorter than a 5 series. The car in reality, just looks like an evolution of the G37 sedan, BUT. It's like they added, dramatic lines, gave it more damatic wheels and has a slightly lower stance. slight but noticeable. The model I saw was the Q50 hybrid and I think if the Infiniti is priced fairly and can at least tie the ATS in performance. (Which I think it will beat in performance?) It will be a popular car. The front end of the Q50 is nowhere near as awkward as in pics. In fact, it's dramatic and muscular. So muscular that maybe some people may possibly be expecting more from the sedan??? Will it deliver in that category? I don't know... But it sure looks the part. The Q50 is a nice and very classy looking car. nicer than the 3 series by a small margin, Nicer than the ATS by alot. I find the ATS to be nice in its styling but compared to the Q and BMW, the cadillac lacks the dramatic character lines of the other two... But I think the infiniti makes a bolder statement over the BMW 3 series in terms of looks. Just on looks... The Q50 is a surprising win. Pictures don't do it justice. I wasn't impressed with the Q looks from photo or video. I don't feel like I saw the greatest car since sliced bread either, But i like it over the other two cars mentioned in terms of style. The ATS behind the wheel will be hard gto beat. I; m just being homest with that one.

The Q50 has a drag coefficiency of .26. Damn that's GT-R status right there. Good sign.

Yeah and no CVT and it looks like the hybrid is not just a test engine...

I'd look at the ATS. I advise you test drive the 2.0T. It's an amazing car. American will shock the shyt out of you with the ATS. I'm still in shock 5 days later. I just never expected an american car to be that good. First the 1LE, now the ATS 2.0

That's my general opinion too but, that sedan was good enough to feel like a coupe. I hope they decide to go with an ATS coupe. If the ATS is any sign of the next gen camaro??? America might be a much stronger competitor in sport coupes under $45,000 by 2016???

I have always been a fan of sedans that offer functionality plus performance.
I have always been a big STi/Evo fan. I am stoked at the idea of an Audi RS7. Absolutely LOVE the new BMW M5. I may be one of the few that really likes the Infiniti M56S (if it were a stick, I would dump both of my cars and buy one.) I would have an M5 if I didn't need to take out a mortgage to afford one. An ATS-V would probably rock my world. The CTS-V is wonderful, but for some reason, after seeing the ATS, I feel very "meh" towards it. I haven't driven any of these yet, but the ATS is just gorgeous. It looks like GM got a lot right with this one (whoever is running cadillac is just kicking *** all around anyway). I hope Infiniti gets very serious about their IPL lineup. This 3.5% power bump crap isn't cutting it. |
