Sweet thanks man. Would you say it was still cheaper than a TT kit? At the end of the day was it under $10k?

G37Sam 10-18-2014 05:51 PM

No way it'll be under $10k, unless you do all the fab work yourself and get a free engine. Fixing hiccups and tuner/mechanic mistakes is what cost me more in this project, not easy to avoid when you're the test rabbit.

In all honesty, had my G been an MT, with Fast intentions in my same country and a tuner nearby I could trust, I would've definitely skipped the RB Project. Back then it was only GTM for me.

Damn man, this is such an amazing build! I love the car!

I love that rb sound...

G37Sam 11-16-2014 12:57 AM

Thank you Zerocool! Here's an update from last night :) The weather's getting nicer and I decided to put her on the dyno see how she'es doing:

She put down 485whp @ 0.9bar (low boost setting) and 615whp @ 1.6 bar (high boost setting). The car actually saw 1.7 bar when I datalogged it on the street. NOT COMPLAINING :D

Here's a screenshot of the High boost run. Was too excited to adjust the Torque Axes Scale but you get the picture.

I got too excited on the road and with all the boost the charge pipe eventually came off, thinking of just welding that fcker in:

And here's a video of me on the dyno pretending I knew what I was doing haha

I got the deal of a lifetime on a Detroit-built machine :stirthepot:

That (unfortunately?) forced me to get rid of this workshop-whore! Off to a new owner she goes, hope he takes good care of her.
