Update 31-12-2012

My shift knob is here :D

http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/q...pscdb8de74.jpg

That sway bar is a little too close to what looks like an idler pulley, wonder if it can be relocated. Bummer I was hoping to go with thicker sways.

Update 24-01-2013:

She still doesn't sound 100% right. I discovered there was no IAT sensor hooked up. Will secure that and see how the engine responds. Until then.. enjoy :)

G37 RB30DET (Still breaking in) - YouTube

Every time we get an updated I am excited and pissed at the same time (jealousy). Only you make me feel this way sam.... *shy look up*

:ughdance::bowrofl:

Staggered357 01-31-2013 09:35 AM

Sam... This is freaking awesome great job can wait to seeing her run for real... I admire your hardwork and dedication... And yes the purple grows on you...

G37Sam 02-03-2013 01:18 AM

To keep a very long story short, we couldn’t get any power out of her on the dyno last night. The moment we started touching 5k+ rpm the engine started vibrating and took a dump. It sounded like it was jammed, it wouldn’t crank properly. Car’s at the shop now, waiting on the autopsy report. Looks like I will be going with forged internals and rebuilt engine sooner than expected.

GaleForce 02-03-2013 08:37 AM

Bad luck. Hopefully your not out of commission for too long.

ZSIZZLE 02-03-2013 09:58 AM

keep at it!!

Demon Z 02-03-2013 11:17 AM

Didn't the RB motors come from the factory with forged internals? Fantastic project! Envious doesn't begin to describe how this makes me feel. :D

ZSIZZLE 02-03-2013 11:57 AM

sick build

SS_Firehawk 02-03-2013 12:27 PM

Sounds like growing pains. Guess we have to keep waiting. MOAR ENGINE PRON PLEASE!

G37Sam 02-04-2013 12:48 AM

Man did it hurt, towing the car off the dyno and back to the shop after a few eargasmic runs was one hell of a heartbreaking scene that I don't wish for anyone. The engine is being torn apart now, I just hope the crank is alright.

G37Sam 02-04-2013 03:43 PM

A few runs on the dyno..

:( good luck
