Yeah, chrome rims with a lip tend to draw a 'ghetto' feeling from some. I trust you. You look like an authority on what's ghetto or 'juggalicious' judging only by your avatar pic.

I think it looks good looks like the standard style AMG wheel chromed with a lip. Always was a fan of the simple clean design.

No? So, you won't be putting them on your or your fiance's car? Because I definitively didn't purchase any for you or your fiance to politely refuse an offer that didn't exist.

/here I was thinking this thread was about what I did for my fiance per her request and her appreciation of it. Little did I know, it's a thread about negative opinions about rims on a vehicle they don't own.

Here was my imagined responses (before I remembered I am posting shiat on the internet):

Positive:
'Good looking wheels.'
'Nice. Your fiance must love 'em too!'
'Sharp.'
'Looks damn good on the Mercedes.'
etc.

Negative:
'I couldn't do it to my Mercedes, happy your fiance likes them.'
'Glad you got what you liked. Not my taste.'
'Not my taste, but your fiance likes them and you win on that alone.'
'I've never liked chrome, but your fiance seems to like them. Good on you.'
etc.

Internet troll expectations:
'That's whack! I don't know anyone who would like chrome.'
'I'd never do that to my car, makes it look ghetto.'
'Nope. Ugly. Sorry.'
'Could only go worse if you got spinners.'
etc.

Listen. I'm glad everyone has their opinions and their own taste in what they appreciate. I'm asking for a little maturity in your negative opinions as this was a gift for the woman I love. It has given her a new appreciation for a car we purchased 4 years ago, and she hated the split-spoke OEM rims that came with the car.
So, if your life sucks to the point that you cannot congratulate others on what they appreciate, regardless if it suits your taste, you can and begin your own thread about hating (in this case particularly) chrome rims with a lip.
Do what you want. Just sayin'...

Look if you can't take the good with the bad then don't post the things you buy on a public forum. Particularly one that looks negatively on chrome anything.

Glad the lady likes it. Honestly I don't know what kind of rim would go onto a lux car that doesn't make it look "ghetto" or VIPed out. Even $8k Asantis would probably be viewed as ghetto even though it costs more than most make in a month. Forged rims look kind of strange on them as well IMO.

Yeah, I was actually looking at some FOOSE rims at first. I searched for months to find something she liked; constantly sending her pics and sizes, different materials, etc. Why does buying shiat for women have to be tough?!?!

It's the internet man.

What do you expect?

As long as your wife loves them who cares. You reap the benefits while kids post their opinions on something that doesn't affect their lives.
