I drove one when Audi had been bringing there demo cars around... i thought it was refined yet raw, and if i had 80k to blow that would be the way...
Ugh... one day.

Not meaning to change the subject. But next to the RS5 article is one about the 4-series BMW. Can someone answer what is the purpose of having both a 3 series and 4 series? Or will the 4 series cease to exist? this is confusing me

They are keeping the 3 series name for the sedan however.

Correct. The 3-series coupe has been renamed to the 4-series.
Though oddly enough, there will be a 4-series Gran Coupe (see: 6 Series Gran Coupe) which will be a 4-door, 4-seater). BMW's line-ups stopped making sense about 7 years ago. |

Audi is definately picking up where BMW left off. and with the ATS cadillac getting better handling reviews over the german 3 series. i think BMW is losing it's way. I havent been a big BMW fan for a decade with the exception of the 135. Two big issue i have with the 35 models is that they still run electronic LSD's. I would like to see bimmer jump out of that. Also a Nissan like braking option would be nice on there sport packages. Bimmer is asking too much money for too little around there 1 and 3 series sport models. Audi definately warrants its price range over BMW.

My wife and I recently traded in our 335xi Coupe for a Jaguar XF, and I agree, BMW has lost its way. I have a 2012 Audi A6 and a 2012 Jaguar XF review where I explain how and why BMW have lost themselves over the past decade. It's quite sad, really, as Bimmers were the absolute pinnacle of performance. But now they're playing second fiddle to Audi and Jaguar (of all companies).
My brother just picked up his 2013 BMW M6, after being one of the first in the US with a 2006 M6. He just arrived back from his European Delivery tour, and his car will be here end of January. I actually quite liked the E62 BMW M6, and I'm curious how this F13 M6 Coupe model will compare. From his drive in Germany/Austria he loved it - but he's sort of the new-age typical BMW customer, not concerned about electric-steering, feedback and bits like that. He's a quasi enthusiast...he bought an R8 V10 but got it with an automatic. |

It is quite a looker.
You got rid of your 328 already? You're shuffling cars like a deck of cards. What's next? Only starting now for the 2013 model year the car has a DCT. But all of the autos prior to that were single-clutch units from Lamborghinis. They are a ton better than the crapbox SMG in his 2006 M6...but still nothing that special. |

I test drove one a few months ago, I love the looks of it but that's about it. Numb steering, boat-like feel, automatic transmission only, etc, etc. I would take the M3 all day, everyday.
