Calling all Bikers!!!

Well I've noticed a lot of people here also have some sort of bike. I encourage everyone to post up their bikes along with any modifications, or bike/group ride pictures they have!!! All types welcome!

I'll start. I've posted this in other threads but to not hi-jack theirs I'll start again here. I've got roughly 27,000 miles on the bike and have owned her since mile 0!

The Day I bought her... 9/12/2005
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...0dgkBTb_fs.jpg

Here she is hanging out with a couple of my buddies vehicles in the driveway. I just got her home from the dealship.

I have to get the new pics with the side bags on it.

molamann 07-07-2009 07:05 PM

Heh we got the same gloves. :D

Anyways, I had pretty much a stock(besides minor mods and leo vince slip-on) 07 ZX-6R with roughly 9k miles on em before I sold it while returning back to Los Angeles after separating from the military. Riding in OKC != riding in Los Angeles.

EDIT: Forgot to mention my 2004 Ninja 250EX. Had lots of fun and learning experience on it before I totaled it. :D

SMJane_Again 07-07-2009 08:58 PM

I have four bikes, however none of them have a motor... doesn't count, does it...:ugh2:

Here are a few pics of my ride, iv'e never owned anything but liter bikes. I love the power and the twistiest roads you can find.

Togo 07-08-2009 03:05 PM

Nice looking ride STLRedRider!!!

I loved the styling of that model year(s). I don't like the new cbr1k styling so much...

Did your bike come with those tires? They look like Qualifiers, just wondering how you like them.

StLRedrider 07-10-2009 06:34 PM

Sorry for the late reply, no those are Bridgestone Battlelax(Battletrash) i like to call them. I luv Michlin Pilot Power2Ct's, if i keep the thing thats what i'll throw on there next.
I don't care for the 09's either, ugly.

Togo 07-10-2009 06:49 PM

I want to get a set of Corsa IIIs. I was commuting on my bike a lot so I ran Diablos for the extended tire life, which wasn't too great anyways. I think I was getting like 5-6K on a rear, I got 8.5K on my stocker rear. I'm not commuting on it anymore as much though so I'm thinking some nice soft tires are in order. :D

StLRedrider 07-10-2009 11:57 PM

I love my Michlin's, they heat up and get extra tacky. i get pretty good milage out of them too.

u155282 07-11-2009 02:37 AM

01 GSXR 600. Sorry no pics. It would hurt your eyes anyway. The plastics are wrecked, but mechanically it's solid. Full exhaust, racing chain and a Power Commander. It's my first and only bike so far.

510z 07-13-2009 09:01 PM

Im going to reserve this spot for when my bike gets back from the shop.

My current ride is 2008 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic. It's built for riding all day long in comfort and style whether I'm cruising down the freeway or scraping the floorboards in the canyons. Will it run with "rockets"? Nope...and that suits me fine.

Sweet ride man. My college hockey coach and his son each had one. They were nice rides. They were loud too, sounded great!

As for running with the rockets all I have to say is "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul." If you're on two wheels then you're alright by me  Keep the sticky side down :D

Back at ya' As long as I can ride I know I'll never need a shrink - being in the wind is therapy of the very best kind.

Riding is the best therapy!!! It always puts a smile on my face. I'll ride till I no longer can, at which point I'll go ride some more :D

I don't even know where to begin with that. What is he doing and what the **** is that? Maybe he's making a space ship so he can attack the bastards that abducted him 2 years ago!:bowrofl:

Never did any mods. A v-twin liter bike was enough umph for me:

I'm in Heaven...just FYI :tiphat:.

How long have you had it?

I have been wanting to acquire one of these for almost three years now but I can't find one anywhere.

Great choice

The Hayden special edition was available in 04, but I bought it at the end of that year new. I had never driven a bike before, it was a little extreme for a first timer, and I wouldn't recommend anyone but the uber responsible ever buy a bike like that for a first bike.

Scratch that, even the uber responsible shouldn't do it.

Togo 08-07-2009 08:05 PM

Hey frost, i didn't know you rode. Yeah that is way too much for a starter bike but damn she is pretty. I always loved the sound of the RC-51!

Didn't do any mods huh? Well I see, Sato Racing exhaust, SS braided brake lines in red, gold rear sets which appear to also be Sato Racing if i'm not mistaken. Did the RC come the the Ohlins forks and shocks too?

Nice looking bike. I heard rumor that they may be releasing another V-Twin Liter+ (1200cc RC-61). I'd be all over that like a fat kid on cake! I did hear this rumor a while ago though. I'll need someone to keep the Kawi company while I'm off in my soon to be purchased Z!!! :D

Well I guess I'm out...I've been riding 600's for a couple of years now but I am not the best rider in the world by any means. I think that the Hayden SE is a spectacular work of machinery.

Image just a representation! My bike doesn't have mods, I just didn't have a good pic handy.

I wouldn't say I really ride. I refuse to commute to work on a bike because of the danger factor, so I really bought it for the weekends. But my weekends get taken up with school, so I don't get much saddle time.
I didn't hear about the RC-61, sounds like a beast. But everyone else is upping their game, so I guess they had to as well. I don't know if it's the V-twin, but I never got good mileage on the bike. Maybe ... 27 mpg or so.

Togo 08-07-2009 10:09 PM

Ahh I got ya on the picture Frost. Last I heard on the RC-61 was nearly a year ago but it was a consideration for competition when the 1098R (1198cc) was released. I've yet to see one, and now that I think about it, this might be a rumor that is about 1.5 or 2 years old so maybe it isn't a rumor anymore, it's just a fail...

Either way, if we ever see one released, I'll be picking one up, as well as a Sato Racing exhaust. I had their Ti Slip-on on my 636 before I switched to the Ti full system from Nassert Beet. The Sato was actually louder but the Beet Racing system makes loads of power :)

Yeah 27 MPG on that thing sounds about right. In all honesty I was getting like 35-37 MPG on my 636 when I bought it but now get roughly 30-32. My drop is mostly due to performance modifications including a custom tune. The nearly 30k miles probably has something to do with it too.

frost 08-07-2009 10:11 PM

I hate to say it, because I know what real bikers think of them, but I want one of these so bad I can taste it:

I saw one of those the today and it looked pretty cool, sounded pretty cool too. I've seen them a bunch when I was at college in FL too. It would be great for commuting. I've seen em with saddle bags, good for holding paperwork/briefcase.

I haven't mountain biked a lot myself, but I got to go once or twice when I was at boarding school. It was a pretty good time and certainly one hell of a work out. I've always been on 2 wheels though, had my training wheels off at 2! I should find some pics, I had a sweet Red Line!!!! :D
