Well i decided to take a stab at some body repair. I never tried this so i didnt know how it would turn out. I decided to take the lower right fairing since i need to replace it anyways since where one of the screws go through...its broken. I'm half way done sanding/priming and all that...still need to get a few more nicks out. And then it will be ready for paint.
Considering this is my first time doing body repair...im very shocked at how well it turned out. I might be able to save one of the fairings. Which means i only need to order the front cowl, upper left fairing and lower right fairing. |

That looks like it was a rough wipe out. If I had to guess, and really thats all I have to go on at the moment, he either low sided on the left and went of the road and it rolled at least once OR he looped it or started to loop it grinding tail on the asphalt came down and lost control of the front and laid it down on the left side. I'm betting more towards the latter but it's just a guess from the pics.
Regardless of how it happened, I'm presuming you are doing ok from the crash so thats good to hear but sorry to hear you never got back into it. |
