Just sold my bike today. Gonna miss it, but I had to make room in my 1 car garage and needed mod money for the Z.

Yeah I've heard all the same stuff too but I just make sure it's cleaned and lubed up properly and so far it seems to filter just as much as the stock ones did. I know other people who've run them too and have had their bikes run just fine for a long time as well so I'm not too worried. The re-use thing is nice though.

i agree. My ZX6R is my first and will be my only bike (unless i wreck it)...Took a ZX10R for a test ride and didnt like it much, the front tire wanted to come up every time i gave it a decent shot of gas....not even WOT, maybe somewheres between 50-75%. Plus i love how my ZX6R has the exhaust under the seat. Dealership gave me a good deal on a 09 ZX6R Monster edition but i didnt want it cuz of the exhaust on the side...lol.

Actually the buyer who gave me a deposit yesterday backed out today. I was having big time second thoughts so it was a relief when he did. That was close! I had the day off so I spent it in the garage moving stuff around and figured out how to get the bike and the Z in there at the same time. No more hard sprinkler water on the Z Now I have to figure out a different way to get mod money for the Z, like maybe saving up for a while

As for the previous convo about my ZX6R being my only bike...My friend is selling his ZX14R with 4,000km for money for his mods on his new 2010 camaro. But A. i dont have the cash right now. and B. it would take me a long time to get use to the power on the ZX14R....i havent even seen the full potental of the ZX6R...here is a picture. |
