Those Panamera Turbos are crazy fast. I test drove a Panamera GTS and man that thing was sweet, with the Sport Exhaust on it sounded far meaner than the 911 - but I do love that raw mechanical 911 sound.

Exactly what I first thought. Especially when looking at the rear lines compared to a 997. So sharp.

Some of the spy shots for the 991 gt3 make me agree with you. I may end up splurging and going for the areocup kit (rear ducktail with wing on top as well as front bumper) which is pretty much what the gt3 has besides the sweet center exhaust.

I couldn't agree more. One of the first things I noticed compared to the Z is the feeling in the steering.

Not only can you keep the spoiler up, but you can adjust how tilted you want it by holding the 'spoiler button'. When its fully extended I think it clashes with the lines of the car, so I normally hold it for a second which puts it at the half way point, making it parallel with the road. Oh and I love the new Cayman! I can't imagine how amazing the boxter spyder and Cayman R are going to be.

I will soon enough! I actually think the girlfriend will be buying one for me this Xmas.

I test drove a loaded Carrera S a few weeks ago and completely agree with you. Well worth the sticker price. Porsche is perfection.

Awesome car and even more awesome that you still have the Z

I just rode in a 911 for the first time on Wednesday and I am honestly impressed with the car!

That's because porshe puts the z to shame unfortunately and he mentioned he will be selling the z:(

I will! And thanks! It was as if my entire academic and professional life flashed before my eyes as I turned the ignition on for the first time. It's almost as if all my hard work was for this :icon17:

I actually disagree with this statement! Sure Porsche does put the Z to shame when it comes to quality of parts, refinement, and vast difference in NVH, but when you're in the zone on a windy road staying in third and maybe the occasional fourth gear for miles at a time, the Z really does deliver the driving experience that is in the same ballpark as the 911. If I could, I would keep the Z and fully track prep it, but that would cost a lot and I would need the money for the residual payment or put it towards a new car for the gf (wifey at that time).

So bottom line, when I land in Albuquerque, I still am stupendously excited to get back in my Z.

Thanks again everyone! Really glad other people are liking (or at least not complaining!) the color combo that I picked out. I was worried about it for the longest time as I had never seen it together before.

Hmm why did the mods move this thread? I thought everyone posts their new car purchase in the general section. And there is plenty of Z comparisons to make it relevant!

i think its because the general discussion portion is for Z only talk. you bought a Porsche, therefore it belongs in the "other vehicles" portion.
