Porsche to Premiere Two Cars – 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show
Maybe so? I saw this article a couple days ago. New cayman news is a little sketchy as far as model year. |

Porsche talk…….
Every person I've talked to who has driven a Cayman loves them do to the handling characteristics/balance……that said, IMO stock just doesn't have the power of my current ride. Driving a 911TT is great fun and definitely has unique handling characteristics but it sure is amazing on the track. ……………..I just keep thinking how I can get into a GT3 RS and increase that fun meter

Have you ever driven one? Ppl who say the boxter and cayman (also 1 series BMW) are for rich teenage girls or 'gay' normally don't know what they're talking about. It's an absurdly amazing car. Quote:
I agree (and ended up going to 991 route at the end!). I would chose the cayman s (new gen) over the base 911, but 911S for the added power. I agree about the tail lights! A bit too big. Not a timeless design if you ask me.. But those side vents are superb.

My choice was 370z over old Cayman. PCA members will get to actually see new Cayman in person week before LA autoshow. I'm sure it's a fine automobile. Just over priced and a little boring for my tastes. I am interested to see new 2.5 twin turbo 4 motor that they indicate will be in 2015 cayman! Those Side scoops look cool will be a pain in arse in real life.

Looks ok not feeling the rims or tail lights like OP have said.
But IMO 911>cayman any day

I know the cayman is a very nice sport's car to drive given the mid engine configuration for better balance. Some say even better than the handling of the 911.
But something about the looks of the 911 that the cayman just doesn't seem to fit well with the word beautiful car other than its a PORSCHE. I hate the rear end maybe its the tail lights and having a flat rear end. The 997 GT3 is still the car to die for! The Z is far more sexy and close to be looking like a 911 looking from the rear fenders only. |

Think the 2013 Cayman S PDK Sport Chrono will replace my 370Z in a year or so, but wonder if the Nav won't be annoying versus the Z.
Anyone know if it has keyless door/start like the Z?
