Again, before we all agree that STS is just the worst thing in the world can we please see some proof? Maybe its just me but I find it odd that someone who drives a GTR and Camaro SS joins a Z forum for the sole purpose of warning everyone about STS.

Some form of paperwork to verify your story would go a long way in my book.

Although it's too long, I don't count 6 months if you dropped your car off on June 24.

I agree. They CANNOT charge you more than 10% of the estimate unless YOU give them the OK. If they bill shot up by $6k, it sounds like you must have OKed it. Also, how is it that they are charging you $10k in labor? At an average labe rate of $100/hr, you're saying they are charging you for 100 hours of labor? I find that hard to believe.

yeah I wouldnt be so quick to call a bluff on this one, although it seems sketch, he may just be an upstanding citizen who is concerned about other people falling for the shops gimmicks,(a lil sarcasm included)

or he just wants to bad mouth them because they took 6 freaking months, which if it is true I dont blame him.

I'm not saying he is lying, i'm just of the mind that if you're going to post such a large claim against a company you should bring some proof. I've been working with him via PMs to post a receipt or bill which he says he has so we can see what kind of date range and scope of work he is having done. He wants to black out any personal information before posting though, so that is apparently his hold up.

I remember a guy on these same forums that had a GTR & Lambo & 900hp NOS Z who traded countries by day... so please excuse me if I don't take everything at face value

Let me explain this to you about STS....I ordered my kit in Feb of 2011. It didn't come in until Aug of 2011. Now as far as the install goes, mine was done by a bunch of monkeys f@cking a football. I was also told it would only take 16hrs to install it took them over 80hrs to install the kit. Guess who ate the 64hrs....let me give you a hint NOT ME!!!! I paid up front for all labor and parts. That way if it takes longer it's on the installer not me.

Now I'm no fan of my STS service by no means. Once the problems couldn't be figured out by STS (they also wanted me to pay them $3500 to send it to them so they could fix it) they brushed me under the rug. Me and a friend had to find the problems and get them fixed. Not STS. So if they are doing the install I would bet it's gonna work.

At the same time, by your statements and the fact they keep changing I'm smelling a troll from another turbo company. Just a little convient that I post some great numbers that the trolls come out of the wood work. Maybe I'm wrong and you could post some proof and prove us all wrong.

Just sayin....

LOL I get what you are saying, but I will still give the OP the benefit of the doubt. Maybe his figures dont add up, but lets wait and see, maybe he is telling the truth, maybe he isnt, but I think turning skeptical and jumping to conclusions before anything is proven is pointless.

Ill give him another day or two to post that receipt.
