2015 hyundai genesis concept
With styling cues now being copied from the Audi S- series and R8, from what it looks to me. The gen-sedan concept no longer looks like a dull copy of both Mercedes and Lexus sedans. I would call that a good thing to a point, but the bad part is some of the design cues are way too direct to the Audi in the concept... Body lines do look very clean and high end though... If the production model can take these cues without looking like a blatant Audi ripoff? This may be the next sub $50k gotta have it sedan???
We'll have to see as this concept evolves... 2013 Hyundai Genesis Concept Car - YouTube The question that strikes me now is... What sports car will the next gen... gen-coupe be a clone of? The S5 audi??? |

I'm not really a fan of the looks and I can't really put my finger on why. Something about those headlights not going with that grill, just seems all wrong.
That said, I'm glad they are making the design a bit more bold. To many boring cars in the world, need to spice things up. |

that looks like a Audi R8 in the front.
Why do most of the Hyundai/kia cars look like they're clones of other cars? |

It worked, many people say the name "Lexus" and have the connotation of upper-class, quality, refinement, etc. which they have when they say "Mercedes"--that they would never have associated with Toyota, had they not branched out, re-branded a division, and improved upon the German production model while copying the features and then improving where possible and selling for a lower price. Toyota muscled its way into the luxury car market and did a darn fine job of it. What you are seeing is Kia and Hyundai doing the exact same thing, 2 decades later. It's working. As with most things, I have found, knowing the past is a strong step toward mastering the future. |
^benz got the design from there
