Talk about catching up!  :driving: |
someone f'd up the launch with that Vette. You can see how much wheel spin he had... lit the tires up.

I can get the jump on Vettes all day long with my modded Jeep SRT-8 because of the all wheel drive but it wont be long until they are catching me. |
Exactly. If the 'Vette hooked off the line we'd have seen it pulling away from the GTR.

I stand by what I say as as I have personally witnessed a GT-R hand Vettes and Mustangs their butts to them.
GIVEN MORE TRACK LENGTH anyone can claim that any car with top end power will eventually overtake the better off-the-line car / driver. It is what it is though as a 1/4 mile is what it officially is. And I don't see any movement out their wanting to extend the track length so a particular car or driver can do better against other cars that are set up correctly to maximize hooking the road. And as they say in the drag world if you can't get it done in a 1/4 mile then you need to either get a different car or configure the car you are driving better.... The outcome is what it is...a loss for the Vette and in this case less power was more and a victory...and that makes the GT-R an all around better and stronger car. |
I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to throw the BS flag out on this one. The GTR should get a better launch (assuming they didn't mind voiding the warranty), but it's heavier not nearly as aerodynamic as the Vette. The Vette has more power, and LIKELY has a lot more torque which is really what wins drag races.
I would say this was a BS video. |

that is one hilarious assumption with no proof :rofl2: |
American Muscle caught up quite well !!
The Gt-R driver was drinking some soda and stopped paying attention to the Corvette. |
