Both are amazing cars. I wish I had either one!

Yeah, the NEW Corvettes are coming with launch control. I've watched the launch control work, and I'm very impressed.

Nice vid.:tup: The Vette is clearly the faster car by a good margin as you can tell by how much ground it made up in a short time. Vette blew the launch and the GTR raped it off the line. Top end is all LPE Vette. Im sure some of you have seen what a bonestock Z06 does to a bonestock GTR from a roll. Not close especially after 1/4 mile.

This Z06 makes 670 vs the GTR's 550. Much greater hp gap than stock so no brainer as to which is the faster car given equal launches. Plus the Vette is over 700lbs lighter. Its no knock on the GTR fans. Its an incredible car and doesnt need defending as everyone knows this but there are tons of cars out there faster than it in the straights. Not that many faster in the twisties though;)

And why dont you admit you are a fanboy and cant see that stock for stock the Vette is WAY faster than the GTR. it is proven time and time again in magazines and on the track. You can put a bad driver in any car and its not going to do well. You can take two modded cars and put them up against each other and it will depend on who has the best mods. The GTR against the ZR1 is not even a remotely close race. This Lingenfelter is probably running about 60hp more than the ZR1... the GTR gets another 120hp. There is no way a good driver in the Lingenfleter is going to loose to a good driver in the GTR.

I have seen stock Z06s running into the 10s. Now I am not a Corvette fan (I actually own a Viper SRT-10) but I know ******** when I see it... you on the other hand... well we have seen your posts.

Whats funny to me is the Vette still looked better losing than the GT did winning. haha

Dollar for Dollar the Z06 hands down is the better overall buy... oh and you can use the launch control and still have a warranty (DOH)

I've also seen stock Z06's clip 10's here in AZ, and seen them own on the hpde track and Nasa and Road Course. Not saying that the GTR wouldnt do well in those categories just yet to see one do it locally in person.

Dont get me wrong I am an Import purest at heart but when it comes down to dirty the Z06 is one nasty b*tch!
