wanting something cheaper but faster

So I still owe about 27k on my 09 Nismo with 17k miles.... (paid 34k +tax when I bought it a year ago with 4k miles on it, I think I paid too much in hindsight lol)

I was hoping that I could sell it for 25k-27k and buy something a bit cheaper (but faster!!!)

But alas it looks like this is easier said than done. Looks like my options are pretty limited. So far all I can think of is a modded Evo 8 or Evo 9, a turbocharged S2000 or a 2001-2003 M5.

I'm thinking I should probably just keep the Z. What to do?

Mike 09-28-2012 08:51 AM

financially, you are better off just keeping it. Maybe refinance it?

Much faster yes, but cheaper? I don't see that happening for a Supra that's not been beat to ****

tjlazer 09-28-2012 11:17 AM

300zx tt, stage 3 it and it will be faster

Unmolested TT Supra's are uber rare! If I stumble upon one for sale...they're normally around ~30K

NickTurnon 09-28-2012 11:26 AM

TT Supra with 120k is stil 20-30 grand.

I think you are too deep into the Nismo now. You will lose too much money if you go cheaper. And you will regret selling the car.

Just make a couple modifications to give you the numbers you want.

Hehe.. I did my own headlights. Uprev was done by Xact Dyno. How ya been man?

NickTurnon 09-28-2012 11:30 AM

You did your own headlights? WTF? Wasn't that risky? Let's do mine? Ill pay.

Also, where is Xact dyno? And what was the end result before and after mods.

Havent seen you down at Pavillions. They have had all the Z's sectioned in their own area now with GT-R's and other 300zx.. You should stop by again sometime!

PMed you so we're not taking over this thread

Back on topic.. If you just want cheap power, there is the older gen Camaro/Firebird option. Also GTO can be had for fairly cheap now. And of course you can go with the Mustang.. I'd stick with the Z for now though

Really? 120k? Ok... Maybe things in Canada are different in regards to that car.
