Off the beaten path... Polestar Volvo C30
The C30 T5R has always been a car i have deeply admired and I've prayed at night for the day to come that Volvo would make an AWD C30. FWD has never been a drivetrain that i have enjoyed driving much. At least not for long term ownership.
The polestar is a Concept/Prototype that may or may not make as a production car... And if it does make it? Will it make it to the states? Every year for the past 3 model year, this car becomes a hot discussion. Maybe Volvo is testing the publics interest??? Volvo performance is not highly regarded here. I see it kind of like the Z. Volvo performance is a thing you will either get? Or not get... Sadly, most don't get it. These are probably the highest quality cars in its price range. I don't think any car out there will have higher grade materials @ $25-40k range except for empty featured bimmers bordering 40k. My only beef with the C30 aside from FWD is the console stereo they've made it nearly inpossible to go aftermarket without a major overhaul. Check it out. I think these cars look awesome. |
I've seen some hot chicks driving the C30's here in DC.......late 20 to early 30 something post-grad school types into bicycling with a retriever in the front seat.

doesn't matter who they target. that particular Polestar C-30 is sick 450 turbo horses on a engine thats not heavily modified on an awd drivetrain? the chic shyt holds little weight right now. But hey, if thats the enthusiast stance on the forum??? Gotcha. :ugh2:

Sweet little car. I'm more a fan of the older Volvos but did like the C30 style... just wish they did more with it.

I never said anything bad about this car, I just said that you see hot women in Volvos, since that's who Volvo primarily targets with their marketing. Same with Subaru, for the most part. I dig the C30, and the Polestar version is indeed sick. |

The 760's were hot back when. The newer ones definitely are more for utlility... But that 2013 S60 T5 AWD is showing promise. I'm considering replacing my wife's altima with that car. I'm going to watch it over the next year or two and see how it performs over long term tests. Looks like it may be a hot load of fun for a family hauler. Just drop in a intake, exhaust and bov's loud enough to make spirited driving exciting with a tune& Voila.... It will be respectable enough for me to get in it 2 or 3x a month. lol That polestar though. I'd love to see it on a track against the WRX, EVO and Audi TTS just for shyts and giggles. I honestly think it will hold its own against them.... At least performance wise. That's why i'm really hoping something develops from this polestar prototype. The C30 as it stands right now as a production car is a woulda, shoulda, coulda car. |
