Just sell int out of state. Just put it on AutoTrader or similar and stipulate out of state only and why.

I donated my 1986 300zx to a jazz radio station here in Denver after it needed rebuilt fuel injectors among other things that would have cost too much considering the worth of the car (i.e. cost more than the car's worth= total). I tried selling it "as is", but it didn't sell since it would cut out while idling/on the road or not start at all . . .
