I doubt I'd get a V6 in anything again. I4, I6, V8 all OK, but never been impressed with a V6. I'll obviously consider V10...V12...W16...if I have too... |

I mostly agree with you, but i still find the Z v6 to be extremely good in spite of. But I'm hoping nissan decides to go with another engine next-gen. I think this vq has been over-engineered. The VQ35 did feel and sound a little better than this VQ. But this 37 makes more linear power and i can really appreciate that too.

I'm pretty pleased with my VQ37. It's not as smooth as my LS1 or LS7 were, but it is not bad, either. It just has a different temperament. I like it, personally. It feels identical to my LS1 in every way, but it is much more efficient at lower throttle input. Better mileage cruising around the city, and when you sit in traffic idling, it actually runs cooler than if you were cruising at 70. Kinda neat. It's my first car that has ever been like that. I credit the unique valvetrain arrangement for the low rpm/throttle efficiency.
