That does suck considering how light the 370z is and how heavier v8's are getting the same mpg ratings.

If you want gas mileage, neither the 5.0 nor the 370z will do it for you.

FRS in an auto gets about 30mpg combined. the gencoupe 2.0 about 26mpg's... Otherwise, they gonna have to deal with it.

v6 mustang isn't bad either, and frankly still pretty quick. Not sure I'd be ok with driving one though

Not trying to insult anyone with a V6 musclecar but... I could never do v6 in a stang, camaro etc. I know these cars by heritage always had the transportation version. But it don't make it right. lol

I doubt I'd get a V6 in anything again.

I4, I6, V8 all OK, but never been impressed with a V6.

I'll obviously consider V10...V12...W16...if I have too...

I mostly agree with you, but i still find the Z v6 to be extremely good in spite of. But I'm hoping nissan decides to go with another engine next-gen. I think this vq has been over-engineered. The VQ35 did feel and sound a little better than this VQ. But this 37 makes more linear power and i can really appreciate that too.

I'm pretty pleased with my VQ37. It's not as smooth as my LS1 or LS7 were, but it is not bad, either. It just has a different temperament. I like it, personally. It feels identical to my LS1 in every way, but it is much more efficient at lower throttle input. Better mileage cruising around the city, and when you sit in traffic idling, it actually runs cooler than if you were cruising at 70. Kinda neat. It's my first car that has ever been like that. I credit the unique valvetrain arrangement for the low rpm/throttle efficiency.

I find it amusing that the V-6 Mustang gets bashed so much, even though it only has 10 less HP and is just as fast as the old V-8, which nobody complained about.

Now the old V-6...that was a joke.

How does your v6 stang do?

All kidding aside, the v6 stang is very quick and great on gas. Test drive a gt and it might spoil you tho.
