Me running down an 03 Cobra with a ported 2.2 Kenne Bell and mickey thompsons at Beaver Springs yesterday. My best was an 11.68 @ 125.50 and his was 11.80 @ 121.

Can't wait to put some drag radials on this thing.

I've quickly learned that LC is good for consistency but for times it is junk.

I run no traction control or assists and my 60' was 2.05

thats interesting.. so your getting better 60s just with out? what RPM are you launching with vs what the LC does? reason i asked was the top end on that thing looks pretty damn strong.. the other car got out of the hole great but past the 1/8th it really picked up!

cool vid

i had a similar experience... i raced this older mustang a few months ago.. guy had race slicks car was caged and he was running nitrous i think.. this guy had like a fire suit and everything... he got the jump on me via reaction time but i ended up walking him fairly easy

I launched at about 3200 rpms. With LC they say to launch around 4000 but it was counterproductive. Next time I will try a little higher without LC and see if it will still grip.

nice catch

Very nice! Sad to see that still, noone has figured out "launch control" in the RWD platforms. GM made some lofty claims, as has Ford. Neither delivered so far as I can tell.

The other car (a ported 2.2 Kenne Belle) ran a 12.2 on that run at 119mph with a 1.8 60' and a .7 second jump on me at the tree. So I'm very impressed that I not only matched the car but put 6mph on him at the finish. I strongly believe that a pulley combo and tune will net 135mph traps.

If I run next month at Atco, with a much better DA, I fully expect 11.4-5 @127+
