Forged Performance: Another Monster GT-R Revealed
This is the first of three very large scale builds coming out of Forged Performance in the coming weeks. Builds like this always capture everyones attention and imagination and involved much more than just power adders. Everything has be customized exactly to the owners liking and the end result it very tasteful, artistic, yet brutally powerful. Todd, a long time customer and friend of the shop came to us a while ago with plans to further upgrade his GT-R. He previously had a stock block, HKS GT800 setup with a mild transmission upgrade. It was quickly decided that more power was desired and the HKS kit would not be sufficient to get the job finished. This is without a question one of the more exciting builds we have had the pleasure to work on. No expense was spared on this project. Todd decided on our 4.0L FP1R reinforced shortblock and FP1R head package as the heart of the build. This time around we went with the JUN Billet Wheel GTX35R turbo kit with a goal of over 1200 whp. To support this power we went with our in-house prepared Stage 4 transmission build using a full PPG 1-6 gear set and Dodson ProMax clutch assembly, and countless seals, bits, and small parts. Todd added countless additional parts along the way which really turned this project from a basic high hp build into a very special project. This beast is now up and running and we will be tuning this week. We will update this thread with power numbers as soon as we can but we are shooting for 1200whp+.
