Lee Iacocca's "new" Mustang

It looks alright but it is based on the 2009 model design, not the new 2010 model. 400 hp though.

My friend recently bought a 2008 Mustang. The car completely rocked my world & killed all my preconceived notions. It handles pretty well (& will be great once it has new tires & different sway bars) & is a great daily driver.

It's definitely not a sports car, but as long as I remembered that, I loved the car. The interior's even pretty nice.

yawn...

Wow. Where's the special edition based on this? They haven't reached 50 versions yet this year.

Here is a better web site with more photographs: Lee Iacocca's Ford Mustang 45th Anniversary Silver Edition with up to 400HP

Personally, I love the car, and would consider owning it. It is the most understated Mustang I've ever seen come out of a styling department.

I always associate a sports car with a sense of immediacy; being ready to go, crisp handling, ready to rev, etc.

The Mustang feels bumbling. It handles well, but would prefer to go straight. The car epitomizes a cruiser. While driving it, one understands just why it's the preferred choice of teenagers who want to cruise around town on a Friday night. I'd compare it to a Dodge Charger, but in coupe form (I've not driven a Charger, but I've heard they handle well).

Somehow, despite its nature, it's a very competent car. I wouldn't call it a sports car, though.

Drive an 05+ Mustang if you get the chance & try to leave your prejudices behind. It's a different experience than a Z, but it's a fun car all of its own.

Same here! My original hate for Ford has turned into respect. Due to the fact that they changed their minds about taking bailout money from the taxpayers! It's a good looking automobile!

thanks cow.. i was just curious your take on it. I'm the same way I don't think cars like the M3, RS4 or C63 are sports cars, they're more like grand tourers who still can perform. Just not the typical "sports" car.
