The G8 is a good looking car but unfortunately I think it suffers from a lack of refinement in the interior.
Looks badass from the front, but it looks like they hurried the design of the rear end... very plain.

Dropped by a couple of weeks ago to check out the G8. I was very disappointed in the build quality. Lovely looking car, and nice V8 with a stick (rare these days). Doesn't help that all the sales guys were expecting to be laid off soon. They were all very keen on checking out my new Z. They told me they thought the "new" GM was going to continue to offer the Holden/nee G8 under another name. Or maybe Penske will grab it an make it a Saturn? Great to see a full-sized American car with balls that can handle too.

Yeah I agree about the interior...it's a bit cheap, but after all this whole car is a mass produced family car with a few bolt on bits. We even use the base model as a taxi.
Holden have made a two door concept which may make it to production... Australia: Holden Rolls Out Coupe 60 Concept Last edited by GTRFAN; 04-03-2012 at 03:02 AM. |

I think it's pretty fugly. Pontiac hasn't released a good looking car since the Fiero, and before that the Firebirds of the mid 70s (which will be a restoration project of mine one day). This is probably why Pontiac is getting dumped, although I would drop Buick before Pontiac. The average age of a Buick buyer is 67 years old. Their customer base will be dead before you know it, and those buyers can just try and come up with the couple thousand extra to buy a Cadillac.
