I think the scion frs is one cheap *** car its a waist of money i mean serioulsy look at the inside and its still going for $25,000 lol my friends accent is faster. I seen one driving down the road the other day.

Here's the facts its slow over priced and very cheaply made.

wrong section. BUT since im here, the FR-S i agree is rather cheap, but not everyone can afford a Z or a Vette or anything like that so, and i guess it all depends on where you tastes are at, some people dig the FR-S... others do not... all in your taste!

homeryansta 07-01-2012 02:01 PM

I actually think it is a decent car. I'm sure the porsche guys are saying the exact same thing about your Z.

5k more gets you a new base z or you can get a used vett 2004 with low miles.

or if you want to compare at that range then the 2012 Hyundai genesis brand new is way nicer and has 306 hp.

They wouldn't not to a 600 rwhp Z now if they still did ill be laughing at them in my gtr :)

I wouldn't trade my Z for one, but I think the FR-S is a marvelous car, considering the price. Power isn't everything, and there are other aspects of a car that make driving fun.

The back seats are as much made for people as the ones in a 911. Just there for insurance purposes. I'd be a mean mean person if I had to stuff 2 friends in there.

I sat inside a Toyota 86 at the Bangkok Auto Show a few months ago.

... Was really impressed with the seating position/feel of the interior; however, I didn't get to hear the engine or drive the car.
I'd be a little worried about the low horsepower figure (200 hp) and the small displacement of the flat-4 (2.0 liters). I imagine it's a fun car to drive, though. $25 grand is a good price for a light-weight sports car like this. I'm curious how it compares to a Mazda Miata.
It's too bad it's not being sold as a Toyota here in America

I think it's a close comparison. I think it would come down to whether you wanted the space and practicality of the four seater or the top down thrills of the convertible. As a daily driver, I'd give the FRS/BRZ the edge. As a toy, imo the Miata is much more fun to drive because of the drop top.

It needs boost.

I've been following this car since the beginning at the car shows it appeared to be a nice car but in reality it is not a piece of crap!

sent from my SAMSUNG- SINGLE TURBO SGH-1717

Nismo89 07-02-2012 01:30 AM

its a nice car for those looking to take a " small" step forward. a sports car with plenty of grunt and power for those excited for their first sports car. i guess if you were to rank it within its own Class (i dont think its in the same class as the Z or Shelby exc) but for the class its in, it holds its own and does it purpose,

Pauly 07-02-2012 08:40 AM

looks nice
overpriced

dvo 07-02-2012 04:31 PM

Having driven both, they feel just about the same. The interior on the FRS is horrid though. I'd spend the extra money for the nicer interior, HID, nicer front bumper IMO too

Also, would you rather take your subaru powered scion to a scion/toyota dealer or your subaru powered subaru to a subaru dealer? If I ever had an issue with it, I would rather take my car to a place that knows the drivetrain, not one that's learning it. Just saying...

nuTinmuch 07-02-2012 04:46 PM

I thought the interior looked/felt pretty nice.
