*PICS* MKIV for the wife
So, my wife's dream car is a mkiv supra... Being military I have been a lot of places and built up a little network for myself.. got her a 1994 TT hardtop w/ 50k miles imported from Japan and registered in the states. Great present for her to come home to from deployment. Pics are attached .

Um... There are definately issues importing and registering. But like I said I have a pretty good network of friends and called in a few favors so it wasn't too bad for me.

lol.. usually (let's take the skyline).. they are impossible to be imported and registered because they didn't pass the federal guidelines for being a vehicle produced and 'proven' to be worthy for the US..
Interesting that you're able to register a right-hand drive Japan-spec car in the US, I was curious to understand why that would be acceptable. I am in no way versed in the ways of getting a car into the US and getting it road-worthy.. but I know some on this forum probably have some better idea.. heck there is probably guys in my office that are, I was just curious. |

Oh lol.. well to do it you usually have to change a lot of things.. like the windows and the lights etc... This one I had it brought over told the people that I know that deal with this sort of thing to get it inspected and ready to go and they did... voila.. us registered.
