Finally we can use that in a real thread.

The Z32TT is a great car, but the age is one reason I skipped it a few years ago because I was unsure if I could maintain the car and money needed.

I don't mind working on them, but I've definitely heard they are not fun to work on if you need anything more than an oil change. I meant it is a relatively light car for the amount of power you can net out of full bolt ons. Stepping up the turbos just makes that exponentially better! Thanks for the advice.

If you have a good amount of engine pulling experience you should be ok, because you have to pull the motor to do most anything on the engine.

great car, I love mine, I wish my red one was with me in 100% working order..
but it doesn't compare to the z34...

I would never get an NA Z32, not worth it in my opinion. I have only pulled the engine in my last car (Saab 2.0t) but that was a cake walk compared to the amount of effort it looks like it takes to do the same on the Z32! This would be my daily driver so it needs to be semi-reliable. Thanks Isamu!

Honeslty, I am lucky to have a tech that was certified on the Z32 when it came out, and knows the car backwards and forwards. I spent a lot of money, and I mean a lot $$$, to get the car right. I am sure any Z32TT owner will tell you, once you get all the gremlins out and do some of the common deletes, it's a great and fun car. But be prepared to have some repair bills coming you way unless you know what your doing.

The biggest issue I had, and honestly knock on wood is gone, was coolant leaks. The hoses are 20years old and kept cracking or ballooning over time. I think I replaced just about every damn coolant hose possible. And there are a **** ton!

If you can find one it great condifiton with great service records , you may fair well.

Things to look for :
100K done
Service Records
Leaks ( oil, coolant)
Brakes in good condition
Gears grind when you shift
Just some thing off the top of my head.

But I love my Z32. It's very quick, lots of low end tq, and people will come over and talk to me about the car 100x more than my Z34.

And the best, it has T-tops!...lol

Hope that helps some
Thank you for taking the time to respond fusz! That's a really helpful post, I'm definitely going to take note. I have been getting that feeling from cruising on Z32 forums, I have found a few that are low miles and no expense spared builds or well cared for examples and those are the exact cars I'm going after.

And I am definitely very interested in having a T top car, less of a compromise than a convertible (never owning one again). Thanks again.
