Not that I'm complaining, because I think it's awesome, but man, car performance ratios in the last 5 - 10 years are off the chart. Who would have predicted this kind of ridiculousness even just 5 years ago? If there was a graph of car HP and performance over the last 100 years, until 2000 it would be like a long slow steady incline. From 2000 - 2005 it would start going up hill quickly. But from 2005 until now, it would look like a straight up cliff. Wow, this is just crazy nuts awesome. Ralph Nader has to be hating this trend.

Unlikely! While cars have been getting faster, they've also been getting dramatically safer, which is awesome. Cars are quickly entering "do it all" territory where you don't really have to sacrifice a whole lot to get what you want.
