I have been thinking about keeping one in the house for towing, yef I found the price to be more expensive than I would like still. I am curious to see if we will see a massive sell off if gas hits 4.5 a gallon.

I want a land cruiser hehe

Of course. Pre-Economic crash in 2008 (highest prices historically), you were able to get some sweet deals on the larger SUVs. The same will happen again, however I wouldn't be surprised if it were further magnified. In 2007, early 2008, people were more confident in the economy, however uncertainty still hinders many of the equity/commodity markets. I think the combination of rising gas prices, and continued uncertainty will definitely afford you some good deals in the SUV space.

I am actually considering trading in my Liberty (which i traded my Z for) for a wrangler unlimited. I'll see what kind of deals I can get.

Here is the crazy part. At $4 a gallon, a full size SUV (let say 15) burns about $1000 per year in gas (based on 10K miles) than a Pilot (20). I guess I can just buy the car and let it sit until I really need to use it.
