Crap. New Windshield time :(

Anyway, $500 Insurance company contracts through Safelite, and they are using OEM glass and coordinating that with my dealership. How bad will the tear my 3 day old car up replacing this? |

Did not see what you were talking about re: pre-painted one's, though. Last edited by ImportConvert; 03-01-2012 at 02:31 PM. |

Good luck. I'm still dealing with Safelite after they damaged the paint on my car removing the old windshield adhesive. They are trying to give me the runaround.

A Virginia Z Owner and I have both had the same experience on separate occasions. Rock on glass. Mine was two weeks after I bought the car. Both of us used Safelite and had no issue.

I don't think you have any other options, if you need the windshield replaced, it's gotta be done. I wouldn't worry about Safelite specifically, it all depends on who it is that is actually working on your car.
I will tell you now though, you are going to be cringing as you watch all the panels that need to be removed on our car to remove the windshield.

How do I replace that trim if they crack it? Kenchan's link did not lead me to anything pre-painted. |

If you are concerned with safelite... I'm not sure what the laws are like in your state, but the company cannot dictate who does the work for you.

I even keep my 2002 G20 in flawless condition almost. I am OCD about stuff. |

Nah, no one would even know. Honestly, I think the OEM glass is **** anyway, so I didn't care that they used an aftermarket windshield.

Nope, it shouldn't devalue anything at all.
