Your Favorite Luxury/Sports Car?

I'm currently shopping for a car in the 50-55k price range. I'm looking for a luxury sports car. So what would you'll recommend in that price range. I've been interested in the Cts-v coupe/sedan, IS-F, and the C63 AMG. All of which would be slightly used in this price range but all under 10k miles.
Whichever car I get will probably be my DD for around 6 months.
And whichever one I end up getting will be HEAVILY modded. Forced induction is a definite for whichever I get.
So which would you get?
BTW not really interested in the S4 since I'd rather have an IS-F with 1k Miles than a new S4.
Thanks everyone:driving:

Get the M3 Coupe or the IS-F. If your looking for a luxury sports car. But if ur looking for fast car save up a little more and get a GTR!

Would rather buy a Z and twin turbo it and put the sunline kit on it and some forgestars. And have a better looking, faster, cheaper, and more fun car.

kenchan 02-19-2012 12:15 PM

Why you asking at a Z forum?

We could probably ask Joan Osborne.

in that case, buy a z, and do that stuff, and you'll have a better looking, faster, cheaper and more fun car than everything you yourself mentioned above.

ShockWave 02-19-2012 12:25 PM

The 370z is not very "luxury" to me.

poorazn 02-19-2012 12:32 PM

$55k? M3. European Delivery.

TerribleONE 02-19-2012 01:00 PM

C63 coupe

864Zbeast 02-19-2012 01:21 PM

Not even a question. M3 e92 all day long. My dream car

God 02-19-2012 01:54 PM

Actually I really don't like the M3, just not a fan of the way the car looks. And even when pretty heavily modded, it still looks pretty ordinary. But I know thats what the majority will recommend.

FI a z no questions asked

I want a luxury car. And by the time I would have a Z that I love, I would have an extra 30k invested in it. Which I do not want. I will probably pick up a Z in a few months to build a nice track toy with though.
Anyways it's pretty much between Cts-V and IS-F. Really like the amazing deals that you can get on the ISF, and their reliability, interior, awesome navigation, looks, and their awesome customer service. Seriously, to anyone who's never owned a Lexus their customer service is the best in the industry by far.
But the V is so fast and sexy:bowrofl:

nmjaxx9 02-19-2012 07:18 PM

I say go with the ISF

Cts v coupe is a gorgeous car

ShockWave 02-19-2012 08:42 PM

IS-F!!!! :happydance:

God 02-19-2012 08:42 PM

Cts-V is losing now. Researched pretty much all day and it's amazing how little the used ones are depreciating. And nearly everyone I look at with 5-15k miles, the interior looks like it's already falling apart.
But also learned that their aren't really any F.I available for the IS-F because its ECM can't be cracked yet. Their is one system out but it supposively doesn't work properly with the North American ECM's. But the gains with full bolt ons are pretty impressive from what I've read so far.

daisuke149 02-19-2012 08:57 PM

I hope you have driven all of these cars you have mentioned...

the cts-v is much nicer than the is-f.

wilsonp 02-19-2012 11:11 PM

Why add-on FI so quickly? Buying a car with the performance you want should be a lot more economical.

Touring Z is actually pretty luxurious (versus the Acura loaners I drove for months), but I think the M3 or an AMG should be better. I think I'd try for a Cayman S in that price range, but i don't particularly like GTs.

alcheng 02-20-2012 01:04 AM

G37 coupe and mod it.

I thought about doing this but I'm just not a fan of the G37 interior. IMO the Z has a nicer interior than it.

Really? The G interior is actually one of the more luxurious interiors, I really liked the leather inside of the G37. I think all Infinitis have nice interiors for that matter. But then again it felt too much like a comfy ride, where you relax, instead of staying alert and pressing the pedal to the metal. :icon17:

Z-WHIZ 02-20-2012 11:08 PM

No question, go with an e92 M3.

LakeShow 02-22-2012 12:12 AM

M5 V10. Most epic 4 door with the most epic engine N/A. BMW called the V10 the most sophisticated engine they have ever made. Not a big fan of all these new FI cars these days. M5 V8 TT is not even the same as the V10. FI IMO is cheating horsepower out of an engine. I'm a N/A guy. One exception is the GTR. Other than that not a big fan.

eddieconfetti 02-22-2012 10:26 AM

IS F FTW!!!!! i recently just purchased a lexus IS and its so smooth and comfortable. very luxurious. and what you said about their customer service.....#1 for sure. no complaints with lexus.

God 02-22-2012 10:43 PM

Well test drove most of the cars and the Is-F was my favorite :) Cts-V sedan is starting to look really bland to me. M3 wasn't bad but I couldn't really tell anything special about it. Just felt like I was driving a 335i. But then again didn't really get to open it up or anything.
So yeah current situation is tomorrow I'm going to test drive the G37 and see how it is. I know it's power probably won't impress me but I am basically going to just see the interior. Since I never have sat in a G37, if I REALLY like it I will consider buying one and TT'ing it. But not sure...
Quick question-
What kind of numbers are people getting from G37's? Like forced induction and the whole nine yards. Thanks everyone.

ZMan8 02-22-2012 11:01 PM

lotus!?

Yep I hear they're really good for DD'ing:bowrofl:
Anyways G37 didn't impress enough to make it an option.
And I saw a total of 6 M3's in my daily commute (3 in parking garage) which made me feel like the mustang compared to the 370z:tup:
So yeah IS-F wins out of the group :)
Now one of the370z's vendors needs to make a quality forced induction kit for it:stirthepot:

bigsix 03-28-2012 12:36 PM

Within your price range, I like Mercedes-Benz E class. V8 torque is so nice.

Of course, Toyota's reliability is top. Their Yamaha-tuned 5.0 liter is sweet, too.

Don't think Chevrolet makes a great quality product.

S5? or yah, just get a G37C and mod it? im not a big fan of G37C's either...

Yeah the BMW M3 E92 is a no brainer. To say it's nothing special / not much more than the 335i is just ridiculous as mentioned. Not that the 335i is bad but the M3 is DEFIANTLY a different animal. There's a good reason for why it wins pretty much every creditable comparison test against cars in its segment.

96bigbody 03-31-2012 07:42 AM

Used Cls Amg.

BalanBro 04-01-2012 06:57 AM

C63 doesn't seem to be getting much love here, but I'd go for one in a heartbeat. It's quicker than all but the CTS-V and has hands down, the best sounding engine of the pack. No aftermarket exhaust needed unless you want even more.
