Nice Steve. You going to have this with you on Saturday? Would like to see it.

Yeah, that is the Microsoft car, a little crazy but typical for a car of its type.

I like the LED screen gauges

theDreamer 04-01-2012 12:03 PM

The tech guy in me likes it and the idea of using technology properly in a car, but the car guy in me thinks it is over the top and could be toned down a bit and would be better.
Maybe Steve can do something similar with his s2k but use blackberry hardware/software since both are dying. (s2k is done and RIM basically is limping along)

I just wonder what you do when you're driving around and your gauges crash?

Well, most of the mobile OS are very very stable especially when you run a single app for a specific purpose. I mean, most of your car is run via computer software today, but it is a single process running through specific hardware so failure is low.

Plus if that happens:
Sorry officer, but my car gave me the blue screen of death so I was unsure of how fast I was going....:ugh2:

Big mod day today. I replaced my stock seats with Ford Racing Recaro cloth/alcantara seats and swapped my HPS pads for Ferodo DS2500.

The seats are amazing. No more fighting to hold myself in place under hard cornering... these things keep me planted and allow me to focus on driving and nothing else. It's amazing how much of a difference a good seat will make in terms of improving your feel of a car. Well worth the $2k+ price tag.

I also have a new Steeda tune on the car. It's running better than it ever has before
