thats what we all say.. When I got my Z I said no boost for a year until I could get all my other mods out of the way and I had a couple projects for the truck I wanted to complete.. that didnt last long! I think I have only put 3-400 miles on my car since I bought it in december before giving it to Tony! :shakes head: Does the mustang feel as confident in the corners, or do you have to feel a little more on the edge to carry the same speed through the twisties?

I said no mods until after one year, that lasted like 6 weeks and less than a year later I was boosted. :driving:

Lots of confidence (driver dependent), but yes, the Mustang is more on edge. The Z is more point and shoot with understeer to keep most everyone safe. The Mustang is more neutral and rotates a lot easier, so you need to be comfortable handling a car that likes to rotate pretty freely. Stock for stock they would carry roughly the same speed but just went about doing it a little differently.

With the new suspension it's a completely different animal, of course. MUCH faster.

Next up... not really sure. I need better brake pads ahead of ZDayZ (currently running Hawk HPS) but aside from that I have no immediate needs or wants. Except for more seat time with the car and fine tuning the suspension.

The real focus now is on the S2000 which needs some minor things like tires and brakes. And terrrbooooooooooooooooo. Nah, no turbo. Gotta be a good boy. :D

I hear ptuning has a real good turbo kit you could buy

TerribleONE 03-15-2012 12:05 PM

zed you bad influence you

m4a1mustang 03-15-2012 12:06 PM

Yeah I looked the kit over real good at the showroom.

Steve, I'm reading your sig for mods, but I don't see the susp mods...maybe I'm blind. What you running now then? What springs?

I had the cash in my hand to buy a supercharger or TT. Was leaning towards supercharged. I debated for quite a few weeks around the begining of the new year and decided not to do it. Worrying about reliability was ultimately the deciding factor and I decided against it. I threw some of the money into buying Koni Yellows, pads and rotors instead. Eh, maybe she will eventually see a supercharger sometime later in her life. I know I would love the extra power!!

My sig is too big for me to edit (because of my club links) so AK has to do it for me. :icon17:

For suspension I am running:

Steeda Sport springs
Steeda HD upper strut mounts w/ GT500 isolators
Koni Yellows
Fays2 Watts Link
275/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sports all around

Speaking of the Super Sports, I am so impressed with them I think they will be my choice for the S2000 over the Star Specs. While the Star Specs might be faster in the dry the PSS ride smoother and should last longer. And if it has to be driven in rain the wet performance is superior.

are u going to put an ecu chip in your 50?

m4a1mustang 03-15-2012 04:08 PM

I am running a tune.
