Well it's not like I can afford one anytime soon. Maybe when I'm retired or something. |

For a car I don't like:
Go to options list, check all boxes, complain about price For a car I do like: Think of cheapest way to acquire one, even allow used ones, and base models. If car is still more expensive, use performance to explain difference. No one will even notice...

Short of driving the 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray, we’ve known quite a bit about the next-generation sports car. And now we know even more, thanks to a leaked LPO card categorizing official C7 accessories. For those not familiar with LPOs, let us take a step back and revisit the RPO/LPO topic: when customers are in the process of ordering a GM vehicle, they choose among a list of Regular Production Options (RPOs), as well as Limited Production Options (LPOs). The former are actual parts and options that are installed at the factory, while the latter are add-ons that are (with a few exceptions) shipped to and installed by the dealership. LPOs can include a single accessory or a collection of accessories that are part of a special package, and options are usually official parts of the car, as their addition is (usually) reflected on the Monroney label/sticker. Notably, LPOs are (again, in most cases) covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The leaked sheet containing LPO accessories for the 2014 Corvette C7 contains both, accessories that are currently available, as well as those that will become available in the near future. Currently Available Accessories Interior Premium carpet floor mats — all available interior colors with Stingray logo Custom sill plates with Stingray alternate finish Exterior 5-spoke chrome Torque wheels with Crossed-Flag center caps and Tire Pressure Monitor, as seen on the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition, along with the associated five pieces of luggage containing the Crossed-Flag logo Black indoor car cover with Stingray logo Grey, Red, or Kalahari indoor car cover with Crossed-Flag logo Black or Grey outdoor car cover with Stingray logo Black cargo security shade with Crossed Chrome with Stingray logo center cap Black front end cover with Stingray logo Cargo area premium carpet floor mat with Stingray logo Cyber Gray grille Accessories To Become Available Q3 2013 Interior Decklid liner with Stingray logo National Corvette Museum Registry Plaque (Dedication Plaque) Custom suede-wrapped floor console lid in Brownstone with Stingray logo Custom PUR-wrapped floor console lid (available in Black, Med Ash, Kalahari, and Adrenaline Red) with Stingray logo Highway safety kit Interior Stingray logo package — Stingray badge, floor console lid, sill plates, and floor mats Chrome with Stingray logo interior trim badge Exterior 5-spoke silver Torque wheels with Crossed-Flag center caps and Tire Pressure Monitor Cyber Gray exterior trim kit, including quarter vent, hood vent, fender vent, and taillamp scoops Cyber Gray front aero panel Rear fascia protector Rear license plate holder available in Carbon Flash and Spectra Gray Clear protective decal kit Black front and rear molded splash guards Body color wing spoiler Z51 design spoiler in Carbon Flash Z51 design spoiler in body color Stingray exterior appearance package (Coupe only) includes underhood liner Crossed-Flag logo, indoor car cover, and chrome center cap Stingray package (Convertible only) includes indoor car cover, chrome center cap, decklid liner with Stingray logo Tonneau cover insert — matching interior colors (Convertible only) Black underhood liner with Crossed-Flag logo Read more: 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray Official Accessories List | GM Authority

pretty sure he was stating what you "can" get in real world situation...also cant believe with all the work that GM did to lighten the car up it still ended up being heavier than the previous generation and is now closer to the weight of our Z's in base trim lol

Well it doesn't make sense to compare real world numbers for the C6 to EPA numbers for the C7. For all we know, the C7 could get like 32 mpg while cruising. That's why using just the EPA numbers is a more fair comparison.

Some of you are using logic and some are not. What Red_Zed is saying is you are basing one off of real world numbers and the other you are pulling from the invoice. So that 30mpg on the invoice for the c7 can very well be 32mpg real world. Just as the c6 was 26mpg on the invoice but you say you averaged 28mpg. Either that or the rental you had was a special build. In the end its a sports car they can only do so much on the gas mileage.

Reds point is useless because he's building on a statement I made, which was you could squeeze up to 28mpg. I once had a monte carlo SS and i squeezed out more than 2 miles over the average on the highway. On highway i averaged 6 miles over the invoiced 28 highway. Which was phenomenal for a 5.3L v8 in 2006. I was able to squeeze 34mpg out of that one going to FL. You're defense of Reds comment and Red's comment are both irrelevant to my point. So did i have a special SS???
