I sat in one at Nashville cars and coffee last saturday. If I get off my duff and upload the pics I will post up here.
I am absolutely sick over this car, and I have never felt this way about any domestic vehicle ever. I have always respected the Vette, but this thing has crossed into the exotic territory with its looks for me. The one I sat in was white with black wheels and red leather interior. Z51 package 3LT. The whole car is just stunning. I was actually almost mad that I had just bought my '13 Z. I will be watching the next couple years very closely to see how they hold up with the new DI setup and overall depreciation and reliability. I would ideally like to pay the Z off and keep it, but I really see this car in my future. And yes, it scrubs out the GT-R completely in my book. |

Cant wait to hear your review. The rear is growing on me but im still not sold 100% on it. Reminds me to much of the Camaro which I still care nothing for.

I can't get past that rear end view. The car looks amazing otherwise interior included which I have never been impressed with. I have not seen one in person so my view on the rear may change.

I agree, looks great except for the rear. Which is a good thing or else I'd be planning how to save up and spend 50 to 70k otherwise.

He worked high enough up at Chevy from what he was talking about and the impression he gave me. Should have gotten his name. |

My impression... I was impressed but not because the C7 looked so great in it's new design. In reality, it looks like a C6 with a bunch of shyt on it. But, it had a look of quality to it. The C6 doesn't really look like a $50k car imho. It looks like a $40k car if you ask me. The paint and wheels just looked leagues better than the current C6... The rear was strange to me. I didn't see it long enough to form an objective opinion. But what i can say is... Immediately, it looked very supercar-ish. But I can't say if it was nice or not. What i can assertain from my 30 second view of the C7 corvette. First year buyers will go crazy... After that, it will just be a vette in terms of looks. C6 with a bunch of shyt on it isnt ground-breaking. But the overall look in terms of external materials was impressive. With the photographed interior i can see why this car is $53k. But i also see why you may prefer the C6.
