I think he is talking a 1 (maybe 2) year old GT-R in the 80k range.

i can get a 2013 for $90k or a bit less. 2014 i can get for $92K

buddy has a 2013 GTR modded he said he would sell me for $90K with 5k miles.

GTR performance > C7 soooo price difference isnt a problem

Personally, I think $73k is a lot for it not being a Z06. While the base price refllects fair base pricing, optioning out a vette is like optioning out a Porsche. Expensive as hell.
If i could afford a single car in that price range? I would wait it out and save till i can afford a GT-R, myself. But the most i can afford on a single vehicle is $50k. I have to consider my wife when i buy cars who also likes cars and we're a two car household..

Well the C7 stingray isn't supposed to compete with the GT-R. That's gonna be the Z06 or ZR1 in the future.

theDreamer 07-03-2013 08:35 AM

Well the question is going to come is.
What "premium" models is the Corvette going to have this time. The options might only be a C7 & a C7 with options for awhile until they pick if they are doing a larger displacement N/A C7 or/and a SC engine. We might not see a C7 Z06 model for 2 years possibly.

For $100k, I'm only buying an exotic. I don't care if the GT-R is faster, there's just something more special about a Lamborghini/Ferrari.

Then why do you keep trying to compare them performance wise?

They are going to get compared because of similar pricing, same reason the Z goes against all the American Muscle Cars, Porsche, and even the FR-S. Some are good comparisons and some are stupid.

Yeah I guess, but you know the real competitor for the GT-R is coming later. To me, C7 vs used GT-R makes more sense because of the price.

because the C7 stingray is the only version available, decent price range, and intriguing to me. not too hard of a concept lol

Do you need those options to enjoy the car?
