my god, at a loss for words... maybe the back end was designed by the 10% of GM still owned by the US Treasury?

Still holding out to see it in person... but it looks like we're getting exactly what we thought. Camaro rear end.
|
It looks a bit better in the Automobile mag cover.

Waiting to see the real deal rear. |
Honestly I had mixed feelings about the new rear, which indeed will look like the leaked images, but I'm really liking it now and I'm sure seeing real photos will prove me correct. But as well all know, seeing it in the flesh can make all the difference.
It was the front end I was not liking up until the today's leak from Road & Track. I knew the real front would look better than the renderings but still was curious what it would end up looking like. For a base model, it looks F-ing bada$$!!! The real question is buy the base model, or wait a year or more for the Z06 equivalent? I'm definitely going to pick up the new vette as it will surely be amazing. |

"So the back looks like an angry anime robot with a unibrow smoking 4 cigarettes?" - Jalopnik comment Depending on the public response, I can see a rear redesign in the near future. :icon14: |
looks like a cross between a camaro and cts-v in the rear. Too busy also.
Need to see it in person before passing real judgement. I thought the 370 was ugly when I saw it in magazines, then I saw them in person at Zdayz 2009 and bought one the day after I got back. |
I'm already sold. Can't wait to see it on jan 16!

Just wish this damn reveal wasn't during the Patriots' game tomorrow :shakes head:

Surprised to hear so much negative feedback. I've been following this closely for months on corvette forum. The latest pics have me believing this car will look fantastic. It should also be one hell of a performer and finally have a quality interior along with the latest tech. Expect to see my Z up for sale soon.

I am not as crazy about the vette as I thought I would be. The front looks like a constipated frog and the rear looks like a body kit for a camaro. I do like what they did with the exhausts though. It's similar to what Lamborghini did with the Murcielago and what Porsche does with many of its models. I'm interested in hearing its stats. But so far, as GSP would say it, I am not impressed with GM's performance. |

Front/sides are pretty sweet!

Official reveal in 9.5 hrs

It's C7unday!
|
I've shortlisted this car myself along with Afa 4C and Cayman/Boxster S.
My 9 year old son just looked at the rear side by side with the Camaro, and he prefers the Vette...and he tells me they don't look that much alike. However, he couldn't tell the difference between the Vette and Viper front shots! Wish I could include a 14 370Z in the list but don't have enough to go on.:driving: |

A little disappointed on the look of the rear end. 7 speed manual, with rev matching... 99lbs lighter... sounds pretty cool.
