He then walks to the rear of the car to push in the rear bumper to show this car is made of "plastic". Hammond loves it. May is indifferent mostly because he understands it is effective lightweight material and the the vents are functional. Then they talk about leaf springs and 18th century horse pulled carriages. Stig does a lap in the car, under the worst conditions, either snow or rain. Fails to get a good lap time for fear of destroying supercars 2-10 times the price of the Vette. |
They are far from forced, though. They are a critical part of the design.
