Dodge Challenger Drag Pack

2009-2010 Dodge Challenger Drag Pack.
Came across this car the other day. Thought it'd be cool to share.
Here is a video of this car blowing the doors off itself...not literately.

512-cubic inch, 8.4-liter V10 engine and makes it to a two-speed automatic transmission 600 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. Pretty sure its not street legal...haha
I'll do some research on that.

1/4 mile: 9.44s @ 144 mph :eekdance:
(Can't get the video up) check it out though!

Well, this has just gave the opportunity for the automakers and their parts divisions to roll out some serious hardware especially with the powerful engine, in preparation for next year’s racing season.Personally seen one and was enticed with a complete oil pan and intake manifold assembly which drives power and add to the stunning performance.

My sister has a hemi challenger stock with the hood scoup. That sob is very quick for the size power/weight ratio. I can only imagine what a v10 would feel like. Hers is a stick of course because, why the hell would you ever buy a race car in automatic? Lol. She just did the Rusty Wallace challenge over the weekend. I think shes ready for the track now ;-)

GM, Ford, Dodge all have this.
Ford does it with the Mustang, you get a rolling chassis and can buy it with the motor and a bunch of other goodies. I think the car ends up being around 100k for a fully built 1/4 mile monster.

Sorry, not up on Dodge. Is this like Ford's "factory Cobra Jet" with the Shelby, basically?

serpent 09-03-2012 02:39 PM

^ Yup, but I believe since the CJ has been out for awhile now (different years), the CJ's are most likely faster. I believe the factory CJ's have gone into 8's.

CSA0890 09-05-2012 08:06 PM

The Cobra Jet makes a lot more power than this does too though although it uses a 5.8l with a blower.

HKYStormFront 09-05-2012 08:21 PM

definitely not street legal in any way shape or form... pretty cool though
