Wife's new toy
First of all, get your minds out of the gutter. We went shopping for a crossover/mid-size SUV. We started out at Carmax, had our trade-in appraised and looked at Yukons, Tahoes and Escalades (I know, all the same car lol). We didn't see any used cars that we thought were in good enough condition on the lot (we may be a little picky, though). Next, we went to a GMC dealer to look at new ones and some test drives. We left GMC empty handed, because I didn't feel like we explored enough options, and went down to an Infiniti dealer. As soon as we stepped into the showroom, my wife fell in love. On display, next to the bright red G37 vert and the M56 was a 2012 FX35 AWD Ltd edition. Needless to say, Kris was just going through the motions with the test drive. I knew from the look on her face she made up her mind at the door. I think you guys know what happened after that.
I took these pics really quick so they're not that good. |

This is the first FX I've driven and I'm no expert, but I give this one two thumbs way up. I think it strikes a good balance between performance and utility. And I don't mean to plug, but buying a vehicle should always be as easy and relaxed as my experience with the FX. No pressure, super friendly staff and all around chill atmosphere.

I used to carpool with someone who had an FX35 AWD and loved being in that thing. It has the performance of a Z but the utility of a truck. I only wished it had better gas mileage but I guess it's a trade off between performance. |

It would be interesting to see. It would need some dark rims to make it look right, though. |
