18X10.5 +15 ....im kinda iffy tho. I was kinda aiming for 9.5 or 10. But i think i can live with a 10.5 since its pretty much half the price i would be paying if i orderd brand new. Most guys go with rpf1's due to the weight savings which is what i would love (the weight savings) but im not a fan of those rims. I'll be going with girodisc 2 piece rotors which is i think 4lbs off each corner, the rpf'1s are 4lbs lighter i believe then my oem, so thats 8lbs off of each corner if i did that combo.
But with still needing to pay a few things off and my tour coming to an end, ill have to make a choice..lol. Also my full pod pillar replacement from DSG is on the way. Gotta love team sponsorships, they havent even released the product nor the price and yet i have the product on the way. Should arrive tomorrow or Wed. |
I was going to wait until I do my brakes next year. But after putting some thought into it and seeing Evo's with just a few boltons, boil their brake fluid. I've decided to order AMS SS braided brake lines and Motul 600 brake fluid.
Also my OEM high rise wing is on the way :D |
More parts arrived :D

You're going to have a lot of fun when you're home.

yes sir i will, haha. The last 2 things are on the way. The new gauge pillar and the turbo. Hopefully the wait time for a few bolts i need from the dealership is what they told me. I need 2 bolts for the o2 housing to the turbo. My buddy snapped one when we were removing the stock o2 housing. I'm getting a second one just incase i snap another one. The girlfriend checked the dealership and they said 3-4 days but they want me to come in to look at the diagram to make sure its the right one. I also need to order a nut for the manifold to the block since i dropped one in the engine bay and never found it...lol.
Also note: it's pretty obvious but the box that says Yoshimura on it is my full titanium exhaust for my bike. Not sure which one, but one of box has my sprockets and other parts for my bike as well. |
Beautiful ride:tup:

Thanks. btw, sick avatar, the car looks mean as hell..lol. Also if anyone is wondering, that black bag has my royal purple 5W30 and K&N filter for the engine. I got the gf to go out to Canadian Tire to pick it up so i wouldnt have to the day i do the install. Although i still need to pick up a 3" exhaust gasket and a serial to usb adaptor so i can wire it up to my wideband for data logging.

Well it might be different in person but going off your avator, it looks sick. I'm usally not a fan of the red lights people put in their headlights, but with the fangs of the Z, it defently goes together.

I had the Z for 8 months, in that time frame i had 2 hit and runs on it. First one some bitch was talking on her phone and took a corner to wide in a parking lot and hit me, then took off. I caught her but the cops didnt want to do anything. Second time i came out from the mall and someone hit the rear bumper and left quarter panel. The car wasnt what i needed at the time. Couldnt haul my army gear at all, only two seats...just not what i needed. I bought the car on a whim and really got screwed on the price. If i kept it for the full finance plan i would have been paying $73,000 for that thing.
Sold it, got my SRT-10 Ram, loved it. But with the gas prices increasing across canada, the transmission starting to slip and it being automatic (boring as hell) and not being able to take it on the track, i wanted something else. Gave the Evo-X a test drive and fell in love. Decided i wanted the GSR 5-speed manual and havent regretted it all. Went through a **** load of issues with the dealership because they tried to steal $480 from me, then they claimed i tried to hide the issue with the transmission and it cost them $8000 to repair which was bs cuz the dodge dealership quoted me $1350 to have it fixed. All it needed was a master rebuild kit that was $550 which replaces the clutch bands and a few other things. Took the car to the drag strip the night i got it and ran a 13.5 right off the bat. Did a hpde day a week later and loved it. Then i got deployed here to afghanistan and was planning on doing bolt-ons and only spending $4000. A group buy on the new ball bearing turbos came up and...well that plan went to hell...lol. I dont regret it all. I went from a 07 Cobalt SS Supercharged - 09 370z - 05 SRT-10 RAM QC - 2011 EvoX GSR. I got nothing against the Z, but i wish i would have went from the cobalt to the evo and somehow been able to afford the srt-10, i wish i still had that along with the evo....bad *** truck. Loved that truck |
So a quick update.
I'm in Cyprus right now for my decompression from my tour. I'll be home the day after tomorrow, although back home they just got a bunch of snow dumped on them so i dont know if ill be driving the car at all or work on it until the snow melts since i only got summer tires on the car right now. So my FP Red turbo, gauge pillar and -8psi spring for the tial bov arrived. http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...27286517_n.jpg http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...49201771_n.jpg http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...67053457_n.jpg And just for something different. Here is everyone on the C17 globemaster on our way to Cyprus...gotta love military flights and being able to lay on the floor to get some shut eye. http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...9/DSC01576.jpg And here is a pic of whats right outside my balcony of my hotel room. http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...9/DSC01578.jpg |
Cyprus is high on my list of places I want to visit. Nicosia is absolutely beautiful.

Yea i defently want to come here. So many things to do and 3 days here isnt long enough.

Another update. Due to the weather, the boltons have been getting installed pretty slowly. I landed back in Canada at 1:30am, got home by 4am and said **** it, i wasnt going to sleep. Decided to work on the car later that day (bad mistake with being up for about 30+ hours) I did the TWM short throw shifter and cage replacement. All was going great until i tried to align the knob up. I ended up ******* the adjustment screw up...its installed but the pattern is 90* sideways. The base bushings where the only bushings i installed at this time, ill do the cable ones on saturday. I still got the notchy feeling but the throws are alot more solid and shorter.
http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...9/IMG_1999.jpg http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...9/IMG_2000.jpg Next i installed the DSG dual pillar. Everything is pretty straight forward but due to the modification i had to do to my dash in order to get the wires through with the rexpeed pillar...(had to dremel a notch in the dash) there is a nice gap. And for some reason that side piece of the dash doesnt want to go in right. This has nothing to do with the DSG pillar...its just my car being gay. http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...9/IMG_2001.jpg http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...9/IMG_2004.jpg Since i was working in a parking lot with snow and -10*C weather, i didnt take my front bumper off, so i installed the AMS UICP and SRI Intake....ill do the CAI adaptor on saturday. Boy do i love the sound of the intake...lol. Also last night i installed my tomei expreme exhaust and perrin rear sway bar and rear endlinks. I didnt get any pictures but i will on saturday. Gotta fix up a few things with the exhaust, for some reason its pushed up against the passenger side of exhaust/drive shaft well. |
