VIR full maybe. But Grand West actually has a good balance.
MC is right, though. Stock for stock the ZR1 should win out with equal talent behind the wheel. It's a track beast.

but that's all it is. cars like zr1 and viper acr may be very fast on the track, almost race car-like performance, but they don't work well on the road. Not to mention all the cheap build quality and corner cutting. These cars are excellent as the occasional weekend toy or trackday car, but for a refined, comfortable, daily driver you can drive all year round and run errands in, the 911 turbo and the gtr are hands down the better cars.

I can flat-out tell you that you are wrong there. Ride/work well on the road: The ZR1 drives VERY smoothly. It is softer riding than a NISMO Z by far on Touring setting, and I dare say a bit softer than the 370Z Sport. Very compliant and assured. Ferrari borrowed GM's suspension, not the other way around. Cheap build quality/corner cutting: The only place quality was cut is the interior. Then, it is materials, not build quality. The corvette is very well built. I spent nearly 20 hours watching them build mine. They did a fantastic job. Further, the corvette had a PPH of only 62 at the time of my purchase. This is superior to what Porsche published in 2010. Their 2011 data I am unaware of. Errands: The corvette has massive grocery-space in the back. You can all but haul lumber in it. Plenty of space to run errands. If you want a year-round car, the GTR fails miserably. It's too low to the ground for snow. So is the ZR1, 911, or any other sports car. The only thing better about the GTR and 911 is the interior, which I think is the only place the corvette messed up. Last edited by ImportConvert; 01-05-2012 at 09:21 AM. |

However, if you are daily driving one of these cars in the snow, why not drive the ZR1? You're obviously rich as hell and just out to see what you can destroy, so why not do it in tail-wagging style? |

See gt vs m3 on willow or laguna, then watch the m3 spank it at vir due to the high speed straights. |
