I think Nissan and Toyota need to get into a slugfest and bring back the inline 6, slap a turbo on it and let tuners have the rest of the fun... A V8 is a given, it's easy and obvious power.. Just my take.

A good V8 will make power... a bad one... not so much! Same for any other engine.

Not to nitpick but those 4.6Ls are great engines. Absolute boost monsters.

A better bad V8 would be the 305 TPI motors Chevy had in their Camaros long ago.

Only if they offer a boosted one that is in the same power:weight ballpark as the Z (preferably with room to grow).

Subaru Confirms Turbocharged Version of BRZ Engine - WOT on Motor Trend

Hmm, I've strangely become more interested in the BRZ now.

Yes, the motor is going in the 2012/3 WRX, still no confirmation if the turbo FA20 motor will make it into a BRZ though.

Yeah, I read it more carefully this time. i think a lot of people will be disappointed no doubt if it doesn't make it into the BRZ.

Since Toyota has said they will 'produce' a SC for the engine we should see a turbo from Subaru at some point, just how quickly.

Wow, great way to partner up on a car huh SC style FI for one, Turbo for the other. Talk about covering all enthusiast angles. I gotta give the Toyobaru marriage its respect for giving the public what they want on many angles.
