We'll have to test-drive it to make final judgements. . .

That"s true, but even it handles and feels amazing, I think I would be yearning for more power. If it's anywhere in the high 20s, though, I think it will be overpriced. i also here Subie engines have a tendency to blow on the track so I'm not sure about an underpowered car designed to handle on the track, but with an engine that is unreliable on the track. FI this car though and it could be an awesome DD.

No no and NO

I think the collabo was awesome and toyobaru did a great job in making a well balanced RWD vehicle. But its in no way shape or form a competitor or in the same family of the type of motorsports the Z puts out. Its not an alternative. Its the kind of car you add to the stable or you dismiss altogether.

Within minutes of driving....you'd be all like.....

Kind of a pointless thread on a 370z site. Why would you ask people driving an attractive, fun RWD sports car if they'd trade it in for a (subjectively) worse looking, less powerful RWD car?
|
Perhaps a better ques would be "would you trade your current DD in for the Toyota 86"? You might have gotten some diff responses. Not so much on my part because my Z is my DD.
|
In a word: "no".
|
Toyota 86? I thought Hyundai already made a Genesis?
The Scion kinda = RX8 as far as styling :( Subaru... see my comment about the Genesis. |
I would never trade in my Z for the FR-S. I'd consider it a huge downgrade. I do think it'll be a great little car, but I'm hugely disappointed the production version doesn't look like THIS bad boy:
It had people crowded around it with their mouths open. I don't expect the production version will garner the same response. |
370z for a FRS?? You crazy. The 370z will out-handle and overpower the FRS. The crub weight of the production car will be more in the 2800 lbs.
