In a small way it was super. I had stock intakes & stock after test pipes exhaust. I was going to put a more free breathing exhaust next season. The 2008 H.R cars seem to go for as much as the 370s. I also wouldn't want a car not broken in by me.

Imagine cramming a V8. A V8 will probably weigh at least 150 extra lbs. That will just add to forward weight throwing off the balance of the Z.
Also my prediction will be is, yes you will get about 30% more immediate torque at a much lower RPM. Overall acceleration times will only increase marginally. Then you will need aftermarket to make the Z as fast as you want it for a V8. Will there even enough room in the bay for a supercharger without stretching the chassis. I think the GTR build would end up cheaper. At least the engine is the same size and weighs about. The same as ours. And it would be a "Real" JDM build. That would be hotttt!
From what I have found when this was mentioned before is that depending on which LS engine you get; the weight difference is only about 40 pounds more than the VQ.

Almost new Continental front /rear tires

You also forgot to mention it was flooded so customers will be wary

Default No SL swap & no new 370z

Now is not the right time for me to build that very quick LS, & still 100% streetable car that I wanted.
To buy a 370z ??? Kia is coming out with a 388hp sports car. Buying a new 370z then modding it, & a year later finding out that Nissan is coming out with a 400hp+ V8, would not feel good.
I really like my black 08 350. On the highway, the street, & at the track, the car treated me very well. So for now/the winter, I'll clean it & park it in front of my window

An V8 swap can be done for a lot less, and will be more reliable. V8 Z's aren't uncommon. A friend of mine owns own, another friend of mine drifts for a coilover company in their LS1 240SX and they just finished building him an LS1 350Z for next year. For those that aren't familiar with Chevy V8s, the LS series is their performance engine. The LT series is extremely similar in terms of what needs to be done to swap it, but is found in trucks.

Check out Fueled Racing. They've got the BEST kit out there. By far. The owner, Todd, is a good guy too.
