Also my prediction will be is, yes you will get about 30% more immediate torque at a much lower RPM. Overall acceleration times will only increase marginally. Then you will need aftermarket to make the Z as fast as you want it for a V8. Will there even enough room in the bay for a supercharger without stretching the chassis. I think the GTR build would end up cheaper. At least the engine is the same size and weighs about. The same as ours. And it would be a "Real" JDM build. That would be hotttt! |

Plus there is a proven track record of this being done. I can definately see why someone would want to go with the LS over FI. FI can be a lot trickier and have a higher fail rate. The LS engines are also quite light for their power output. Personally, I'd go the C6 route and fix it's inherent problems (Cause it's probably a cheaper route and I'm a cheap guy!) but everybody likes different things about their sports car experience.

I liked the car so much, that I bought it back from State Farm, right before the auction. I loved everything about that car. Even today, I'm not that sure which way to go. Sorry for the drama, but don't we all love our cars? My car is at a shop. I have 3 choices. 1)Re-wire it completely, & hope it'll be as good as new, 2)sell it, then buy a 370z, mode it & drag race in the bolt on class, or 3) With a broken title, I no longer have to worry about strict N.Y.S. inspection laws, so I can build an LS 350z with the classic look of a Z. I CAN'T change what happened. I don't care for the look of the Vette!!! I will post some pictures/video & more info of my car, so maybe some will understand my predicament & all this drama that I don't want or should have created. It's not life & death situation but it's still important to me. I'll say I'm sorry for my long winded & repeated postings. Thank you I also want to thank the Moderators for their patience with me. *Honestly? Should have let them keep it, because it's not the car you loved anymore. What has been done is tantamount to taking Aunt Betty out of the casket and letting her rot in the spare bedroom. just my un-varnished .02 on the matter. |

There's a ton of 350z's for sale.... i bet you could have found one for sale in the same year/model/trim within 2 weeks. If it was some super rare car then i'd say you should have done it.

I thought about letting go and moving to a new car. The buy back was only $6,500 for a very nice Black 6sp, strong engined, with a brand new trans, new ACT clutch 5zigen wheels, full thread tires, 3:90 gears, test pipes, & did I say it's black. Anyway, my thought was I can always sell it for 10 grand with no problem. Yes, it will never be the same |
