I think they're going for less is more instead of engaging the other manufacturer in a hp war. If they make it a true drivers car with ample performance, it's a win. I'm curious to see how the hybrid vectoring tech is truly going to effect how it handles around a track. You only need to look at something like the top gear laps to see how the specs don't always win. Also, by the corvette rationale, the 911 should be a flop....then again there's a lot in a name. Honda doesn't have the same prestige as Porsche.

Or it's docile, and a GREAT driver's car, with ample power to feel sporty, in the base 911 trim. The 911 has a trim level for every desire. AWD, RWD, N/A, TT, you name it. It's a helluva success, and Corvette has emulated the 911 philosophy. |

![]() I test drove 911s before buying my Z. Besides the real reasons I didn't go with a used 996, I had no trouble spinning it and knew it could have been the death of me. I also know I can't ever have a sportbike ![]() Edit: Still looking forward to actual NSX details and reviews. Last edited by takjak2; 05-22-2012 at 09:08 AM. Reason: staying OT |
