I wouldn't put glass roof as a necessity either.

Stock seats SUCK. Recaros or bust.

Ah yeah didn't notice that. I wouldn't get Navi or glass roof.

So now it's down to $63k.

See this is a car that I will drive everyday. I place a premium on comforts too. It's gonna cost me but the glass roof and nav are important to me. The recaros I like but you loose comfort (power / heat). They really cooler than the stock seats though.

Recaros are more comfortable.

Also the base car MSRP is around $5k above invoice with 3% holdback over that.

Meet me in KS City and show me how much better the recaros are.

Honestly, I doubt you'll find one under 60K. Even at 60K the car is a bargain. The MSRP on my 2010 was 61K (mine has every single option you can get) so 60K for a 2013 should not really be a surprise.

I would say that even at 55k, the car is a "performance bargain". It's unbelievable performance for the dollar, realizing that most people aren't car enthusiasts and would consider 55k for a hopped up anything a ripoff.

Even at 67k with full options, you are still getting a car that will go 200mph for half the cost of a ZR-1, and well less than R8's, Ferraris, etc. It's 35k less than a GTR.

I was simply hoping that Fiord would release a knockout blow at 55k.

Also, dealer markup is ridiculous, but I understand why they do it. They're in business to make money. If you can sucker people out of 15k just because they "gotta have it now before the Joneses", then go for it. The smart buyer isn't paying that ridiculous cost.

m4a1mustang 06-08-2012 12:38 PM

Smart or not doesn't really have any bearing. Obviously the most financially responsible way to go about it is to wait and get the best deal you can. But if I was rich and could blow money at will I'd pay markup just to have it it right nao!!!

m4a1mustang 06-08-2012 12:39 PM

Sort of like my habit to apply overnight shipping to anything I buy. :icon17:

Sorry, I guess I equate smart buying with patient and frugal buyers. If I waited three months and paid 15k less for the same car, I'd feel I got the better deal.

m4a1mustang 06-08-2012 12:40 PM

You did, but for that three months I was doing burnouts in your driveway going:
