Still not enough time, import laws are 25 years.

hmmm, I would have expected the winner to either be the Z06 or the GTR, the new 911 is just so expensive for far less performance. the turbo or turbo s would've been a better comparo.

How likely do you think the next gtr will look drastically different from the current one? Any chance the gtr will look more exotic like a lambo, nsx, new lotus espirit? The gtr has everything I would like in a car except the styling. Great price for a car so fast and Japanese. I can justify spending around $100k for a r8, nsx, gtr but not $200k for a ferrari.

hopefully they will address the complaints about the styling in the next generation but i doubt it's going to be substantially different from the one that's out now. keep in mind the styling is based on the car's aerodynamics and drag coefficient. yea that might not make for the sexiest form but it means the car is absolutely as fast as it can be (at least from the factory). truly, function following form. in that way, i think it looks really good. it's definitely not the best looking car i've ever seen. but it's far from the worst

i think the next GTR will be a good bit different... i would bet it uses a hybrid system similar with electric motors running the front wheels.. thats not confirmed but the GTR is a leader in technology and if it doesn't adopt something like this for the new R36 it will be behind whats cutting edge
its still a ways off the R35 is confirmed to be produced through 2015 as far as design i dont expect it to be a radical departure like the NSX now is i think it will still be instantly recognizable as GTR and very much rooted in the real world.. the R33 and R34 were very similar..... I wouldn't mind some tweaks but one of my favorite things about the car is how they stay true to the roots for the most part.

yeah i doubt it would stray from that formula...
infiniti is lauching a mid engine sports car concept next month but after reading up on it it will be a primary all electric car with a 1.2 liter range extender engine midship... i dont think the GTR will take much from that the essence on the other hand was a modded GTR platform with the hybrid tech...so the ground work could be there for something down the road |

*prepares for internet haters when the GTR doesn't even "make traditional engine noises" in the next body style since haters already complain about the electronics*
