A few updates that have been done to the car:
Oil change: just to hold it over winter. ![]() Magnetic drain plug: ![]() After investigating my car's hard-starting issue. I may have found the problem, there's rust/old fuel jamming up the fuel lines so I'm going to do a full system flush. I also replaced some essential parts of the fuel system, such as the filter, fuel dampner and fuel regulator: ![]() ![]() Replaced passanger side O2 sensor (was giving a CEL) ![]() Replaced a front nose panel, the original (top) had a huge dent in it and the left side tab was broken off, got a replacement one, it'll still need to be repainted to be perfect but a few paint chips are better than a huge dent. ![]() |

Yesterday was an epic detailing day for my 300zx, thanks to my buddy Jeffblue, who let me borrow his Porter Cable, I was able to give a car a much needed hand wash, followed by being clayed and then a full polish using some Ultimate Compound, finished by some wax to keep it protected over winter. Here are the pictures:

thanks guys, unfortunately the dirt hid away a lot of the imperfections, after the detail i realized that a full paintjob is the only real solution. i just wouldnt be happy with the number of chips, dents, missing paint, the car has. I doubt I'll be able to get it painted until summer of 2013 though. In the meantime I bought a bra to cover up the front bumper which has no paint, and I'll bring the car back to ultimate driving shape.

here are some updates with the car, haven't posted here in a while:
1. Got a RPS Street Max Cluth Installed 2. Fixed a bunch of maintenance issues 3. Did body work on the front of the car and got a new hood, nose panel, and JDM bumper 4. Replaced stock exhaust with a temporary custom Magnaflow exhaust 5. Put on some temporary 350z 17s, will replace those once I get the suspension done. Up next is a brake upgrade. I bought some R34 GT calipers from Japan, they are compatible with the 300zx, going to buy some DBA rorots to replace those. For now, some pics...
