Direct injection won't find it's way into "tuner" type vehicles for a while I bet seeing Direct Injection is very sensitive to radical modifications.. Chevy probably saw people wanting to boost the v8 Camaro in the future and felt the DI system would not tolerate it well. The PSI during the compression phase in the piston is ridiculous and under boost, I could see it not liking it one bit.
There's still room for improvement on the DI system, I'm pretty glad we don't have it in our Zs.. YET. |
