I haven't heard too many of the tracking members here complain about their Z's handling, but perhaps I need to pay more attention.

Dan, your Mustang is dumb. Even amongst other Mustangs. They laugh about it behind its back.
The few track guys left that run seriously are running 3* of camber up front to battle the chassis. There aren't really many good Fca options either, so you wind up with slip.

Again, the z is super planted on the street. You have to wrench the wheel to get the back end out, and even when it does break loose, it's all front, so anyone can correct it. Makes for great, safe fun on the street.

But saying a car feels planted on the street is doesn't give any idea how it handles at the limit (unless you are recklessly endangering people, and I know you're too mature for that)

And yes...all the other mustangs make fun of mine for being the only one without 400 whp

I know there's a huge difference in track vs street, but I also know that mag times are not perfectly applicable to either really. They have both sets of enthusiasts as their audience.

It's why I hate when people bark mag numbers out, because I mentally append to each statement...

note: these are not z-specifc numbers, just examples
0-60 in less than 5 under perfect conditions
0.96 on the skid under perfect conditions
7:35 around the Nring under perfect conditions
335hp under perfect conditions
45mpg under perfect conditions
etc

And those conditions vary. Testers specialize on what will get the best numbers.

Just because my Z is capable of sub-5 second 0-60 times, that doesn't imply that i'll ever hit that or that I'd even want to on a public road.

I wasn't completely arguing, just saying that i love my car's handling, and I'll add that Mustangs handle just as well from what we've all seen together on the Dragon.
